Un cuento gracioso acerca de un viejo asqueroso…(Span/English) “A Funny Story About a Dirty Old Man”

Fidel Castro | Celebrity caricatures, Funny caricatures, Caricature
(El tirano verdugo/The tyrant assasin)

This could have happened at any stage of the 60+ years of communist dictatorship in Cuba, but it is more probable that something like this would have happened in the 1970’s.

Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro decided to visit a school in La Habana to speak with the brightest, most intelligent of the students there. So they bring him a twelve year old lad and they tell him that this was the one.

Castro asks the lad, “I hear that even you young lads are conspiring against me, is that true?”

“Yes”, replied the child.

“And that you guys want to throw me in a hole filled with rats, bugs and then pour honey on my head and bring hundreds of bees and killer ants to bite and torment me. Is that true too?”

“It sure is”, said the lad.

“And that all of you would line up and then file by and spit on my face and throw piss and shit on me. Is that also true?”

“Absolutely”, said the young boy.

“And, you? Are you going to do that to me too?”

“No, not me”, says the boy.

“Not you! Great! Why?”, asks the old dictator.

“Are you crazy! I’m not going to stand in that endless line!”

Ballsy young man to talk that bluntly to Fidelito. Good story.

Caricature is an art form not given credit for the brilliance and observational skills of its practitioners. This one no exception. The anecdote also clever but hats-off to the art!

You are right SP, the caricature really captured the essence of that vile communist. Cheers and all the best!
