It was a turbulent year but a year of many great things. The FIFA World Cup was played in Argentina and host Argentina won the Cup! (I guess you know by now that I am a football fan).
But the peace accords, between Israel and Egypt, was also signed that year at Camp David, with US President Jimmy Carter presiding.
Menachem Begin and Anwar al-Sadat, signed that historic accord. Unfortunately, that ultimately led to Sadat’s assassination by Islamic extremists of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Menachem Begin and Mohamed Anwar Al-Sadat both received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978.
The Rolling Stones toured the world that year, the Some Girls tour. I am very happy to say that I saw them at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans in July! It was hot!
Communist Vietnam invaded Cambodia, demonstrating that they did plan on spreading communism throughout Southeast Asia…
And many more things that you may remember that occurred in your own countries…
SO…Here is my photo montage with original music by AJA, if you’ve not gotten your CD, you can listen to samples of the songs (piano/bass romantic jazz) and maybe even purchase a copy. (www.cdbaby.com/cd/aja) and (www.cdbaby.com/cd/aja2).
